THE WORKING, NOT A BLACK BOX

Behind the result - No mystery in the method

What this tool calculates

Entered balance total = the sum of manually entered balance rows. Worksheet total = entered balance total + any signed manual adjustment.

What it does not do

It does not reconcile accounts, confirm an available balance or identify duplicate funds across entries. Use a single currency and a consistent point in time. Do not add both an account total and the same money again as a separate entry. It does not fetch a real bank balance, access a bank account, or store planning data on a server.

Inputs, rounding and privacy

Use a full stop for decimals, no grouping commas, and at most two decimal places. Amounts are limited to 1,000,000,000 per field. A currency choice changes display labels only; no exchange rates are applied. Blank optional fields are omitted from the worksheet; blank optional amounts contribute zero when arithmetic needs a value. Recurring-cost equivalents are rounded for display only. Entered text is displayed literally, not interpreted as HTML.

Printing and text downloads are generated in your browser. This tool does not save inputs in cookies, local storage or a database. Your device, browser extensions, print service and saved copies are outside this site’s control.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before you go

Is the worksheet a verified account statement?

No. It is a list of numbers you enter, not a bank statement, proof of funds or confirmation of an available balance. It is not issued by a bank.

Can I enter balances in different currencies?

Not in the same total. Select one display currency and enter only amounts already expressed in that currency. Changing the display currency does not perform a conversion.

Can I use negative balances or adjustments?

Yes. A leading minus sign subtracts an amount from the worksheet total. The tool does not verify whether an overdraft exists or whether funds are available.

Does this require my account number or login?

Never. Use neutral labels such as Everyday or Reserve, not account identifiers. All planning work stays in the current browser page; print or download a copy if you need to keep it.
